Running the Secure Download Demo
This demo shows the secure download function of the DS28C36 by signing and verifying firmware or other data. It provides visual results that illustrates what happens if a wrong key is used or if the data is maliciously manipulated.
It demonstrates data authenticity by signing a picture that can be uploaded directly from the user's computer. It selects a section from the file and signs the contents using an authorized key or an invalid key.
The signature is then validated using the authorized public key to demonstrate that the picture contents have not been modified and that they were signed with the correct key.
For more information and details of the demo, help buttons have been added in the demo to review each section.
After entering the connection code to the Security Lab application, select the demo from the list.
Use the demo's buttons and controls to exercise the device's functionality using your image.
The connection status is displayed on the communication log. Each section contains an Info button that explains additional details.
If you are ready to start, click the Demo tab
